Course charts next steps for new cohousing groups

Is Cohousing For You?

Is Cohousing for You?

This is the question that 19 participants asked themselves in a weekend workshop Margaret Critchlow facilitated at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney on March 5 and 6.  Inspired by the completion of Harbourside Cohousing, ten participants came from the new Saanich Peninsula Cohousing. The initiative benefits from volunteer founder Tracy Mills’ impressive skill set as an Olympian, musician, and business woman. She invites people to join her team as they get serious about making a cohousing community happen on the Saanich Peninsula. The group is defining its vision and identifying suitable sites in preparation for a Getting Your Community Built workshop with Ronaye Matthew’s Cohousing Development Consulting. Their next public information event is 7 pm on Tuesday, April 5 at the Brentwood Bay Empourium (12-7103 W Saanich Rd). For more information, contact info@saanichpeninsulacohousing.com, visit their website or find them on Facebook.
