is there anything like this in ontario, or east of ontario (maritimes).

    • Margaret Critchlow says:

If you’re out there, let us know! We aren’t aware of any senior cohousing groups forming east of Saskatchewan. There is, however, an interesting place in Ontario called Hesperus, formed in the Rudolph Steiner tradition: http://www.hesperus.ca/

  2. Anthony Ratliffe says:

There is a recently formed equity based Senior Co-operative Housing entity (Oromocto and Valley Co-operative Living Limited), with some 50 paid up members, and two sites identified. The principal site is in the centre of the Town of Oromocto, near Fredericton. A satellite site is in the Village of Gagetown. We are at the early feasibility study stage. So far as we know, this is the only one of its kind in Atlantic Canada.
